We are always keen to explore and understand new ways to encourage people to enjoy vegetables, and eat more in their day. The health benefits are numerous. Analysis of research undertaken in Germany a couple of years ago, has recently been published, and it highlights an outcome that supports a very simple message. The researchers found that when family meal times lasted just 10 minutes longer, children (aged 6-11 years) ate significantly more vegetables and fruit. The increase equated to approximately one full serving.
We have been exploring ways to make vegetables enticing by making vegetable platters, designing and cooking fillings for lettuce cups and decorating focaccia bread with seasonal vegetables. Bon appétit.
