Korfball is an exciting sport that is growing in popularity in Canterbury and we are thrilled to be able to get this sport up and running at Wairarapa Cobham Intermediate this year.
We would love to get students participating with the intention of exposing them to a new sporting option and developing new skills. For most players this will be a new sport to them, which has elements of Netball and Basketball.
We are fortunate to have the wonderful MIXX coaches come in and run sessions with each class this term. They will teach students about the rules of the game and some skills to play it.
MIXX are holding a tournament for schools in Christchurch at Hagley Park to compete in. This is being held on Monday 7th April (Monday Week 10 Term 1).
