This is quite a long notice, so please read carefully.
It is very important to us that students keep safe when they are arriving or leaving the school on a scooter or a bike. These are the things you must do if you walk, scooter or bike to school.
Entering from Ilam Road:
-
Please make sure you get off your scooter or bike when you use the crossing on Ilam Road.
-
When you cross Ilam Road on the way to school, push your bike from the crossing all the way to the bike stand area.
-
When you are leaving the school, push your bike or scooter from the bike stand area to the crossing. Push your bike across the crossing, and once you are across the road, you can get on your bike or scooter.
Sunningvale Lane:
-
You must push your bike or scooter from the Sunningvale Lane bike stand area and then get on your bike or scooter once you have gone through the Sunningvale Lane gate.
-
When you are scooting or biking down Sunningvale Lane, keep to the left-hand side and do not cut the corner from Sunningvale Lane into Gleneagles Terrace. This is very dangerous.
-
Keep a close eye out for traffic coming down Gleneagles Terrace before you cross.
-
If you are walking down Sunningvale Lane, please cross to the right-hand side as soon as you get out of the gate. Do not jaywalk across Sunningvale Lane.
Very important.
Do not cross the road on the Ilam Rd bend to get to Aorangi Rd. This is very dangerous.
Duty teachers will be keeping a close eye on all areas from next week.
