Over the weekend of September 21-22nd, the Canterbury Westland Science Fair was held at University of Canterbury. Congratulations to our prize winners listed.
Once again our Cobham students have met with excellent results, receiving prizes in a range of categories. We had 23 exhibits entered and in total there were 200 exhibits from Year 7- Year 13. Thank you to all the families who supported the students to reach this level. My thanks also to Ms Burton
( Lab Science teacher ), Mr Tony Lane ( Digital Technologies )and class teachers for assisting and encouraging our Cobham students with their science and technology interests. In many of the categories students at year 7- 8 are competing against senior high school students. This further endorses the Cobham student achievements at this competition. As a member of the judging panel, it is always encouraging to know that out there we have future scientists seeking to research, investigate and communicate their findings with a view to finding solutions to problems and issues facing society and our planet.
