With a consistent roll of over 660, Cobham Intermediate is able to provide significant resources and facilities specifically tailored to meet the needs of year 7 and 8 students. Our innovative teaching programmes include accelerated classes for the highly able, inquiry immersion classes, learning and special needs support, bi-lingual provision, English as a Second Language (ESOL) and high quality international student care.
Core classroom teachers work collaboratively to cater for the needs of individual students. We employ specialist staff not only in the technology subjects (food, fabrics, wood, metal/plastics), but also in music, art, science, and physical education. This allows for smaller class sizes and more comprehensive, professional activities in these areas of the curriculum.
Cobham offers a diversity of opportunities across academic, cultural and sporting domains, a strength that meets the educational needs of our multi-cultural intake and provides rich experiences across the curriculum. Our students excel in these fields, all of them achieving successes in a positive, caring environment. All students (and staff!) are encouraged to live up to our motto “Achieving for Life”.
Please read more about what Cobham offers students on this website and in our latest Education Review Office Report (2010). We welcome your interest and would be delighted to host you on a visit to our school or assist in any way we can.
